Solid perfume rings seem to be cropping up everywhere these days! Last year brought us the Marc Jacobs Daisy ring, and now we have new baubles from Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs and Kat Von D.
What do you mean of these oversized scented jewels? You know how much I love solid perfumes, so I just had to share, even though I probably won’t be buying any of these. They’re all round a size 7, and they aren’t adjustable, likewise they’re a little unwieldy on my size 5 fingers.

Pearls seem to be the portion this holiday season, showing up in Guerlain’s holiday collection, and now Givenchy’s. Les Perles is all about “rainbow-like reflections, soft tones and a radiant colour universe that explores the evocative elegance of grey and the soft sensuality of pink.” As a big fan of pearls myself (I like to layer strands of different shades from Honora along with my graduation present “good pearls”), I’m really liking this gathering. How through you?
The star consequence is Le Prisme Perles, Givenchy’s classic 4-pan compact, this time with shades of pearlescent pink, gold, white-silver and dark grey, in special satin packaging. This little eye palette is in the same state beautiful to look at! However, 3 of the 4 spirit-world are VERY pale, so be careful not to overapply, or you’ll wash yourself out. Best to pick only one of them and use it as a highlight shade, or, be creative and conversion to an act them as face and body highlighters.

You’ve got to hand it to Michael Kors. The man has created an empire around this concept of incidental elegance, easy luxury, and the jet-setter lifestyle (is it me, or is there a jet in the background of EVERY one of his ad campaigns?).
Michael, the fragrance, was perfectly in line with the brand, too - accidental but forward, classic with a twist (come on, we all know it smelled a little bit like good old Sand & Sable). It smelled expensive, while still being accessible - you’d feel just as comfortable wearing it everyday as you would while jetting around on your G5 (ah! I mind).

After hearing tons of buzz about Illamasqua and its arrival at select Sephora stores, I finally had the chance to instance some of the brand’sitting wares. There are more curtain selections - in every division - than you can shake a stick at, so if Illamasqua is available at your local Sephora, I strongly encourage you to get in there and check it out.
What struck me most was on account of what reason intense and saturated the colors were; somewhat similar to Make Up For Ever. I wanted to snatch up all the eye shadows, even those I’d never wear, and circumvent them home to arrange and admire. There’s just something so enticing about the display; sleek black packaging with beauteous technicolor squares of color within.
