moreandmore.

yigal azrouël is one of those designers, that more and more after his shows, i love his aesthetic and his view of women, more and more. she is feminine, but has an edge. and she may have been a bit of a hellion when she was a teenager… you know, like some of those girls you used to know, or used to be…

oh!

such fun! such humour!

rachel comey’s 40s inspired show was "informed by a recent reading of a houdini biography—one of the looks was even called presto."

and perhaps the styling was a bit reminiscent of prada or marni, however, some of the looks and fabrics were just so charming!

mad max

>>  I’ve seen my fair share of random designer collaborations: Christian Lacroix for Evian, anyone?  But today, instead of giving out shampoo or makeup samples to the guests like everyone else, Max Azria gifted his crowd at BCBG each with a branded box of mints.

Which, of course, begs the question: Does Max think fashion people have bad breath?

guest post: dresses for the short gal with hips [Indie Style File]

(This is a guest post from Christa of Petite Fashionista. For petite gals like me, she’s the blog to read.)

Designer Fernanda Carneiro has launched a great line of dresses for Spring 2008. She has created a focused line of easy to wear dresses for petite ladies who have hips. Her designs are fun and glamorous, which was influenced by her Brazilian background and by growing up and residing in L.A and Miami.

This brilliant designer will be welcomed with open arms by all of us little ladies, while filling a void in the marketplace.

Check her out today!

Contest (Sweetened By A Bit Of Sigur Ros)

Remember! It’s the last day for the contest. Send us your favorite book and TV show, and give up a Bunnyshop Heart—which, really, it’s as simple as just telling us the last thing you were excited to buy online, or some weird thing you love that’s vaguely style\fashion-related—and we’ll put your name in the hat for our giant basket of stuff:

1: Two cans of Nutrisoda soda
2: One Madewell t-shirt
3: One bottle of amazing matte gray ManGlaze nail polish
4: And the newest addition: one tin of Embittermints mints, which are so delicious that we received like a half-dozen tins, and might have eaten our way through two if we were not slightly more restrained than we were worried we were.

We just copied that straight from the post from Wednesday. It all remains true.

Random Updates: Sick, eBay & Travel

After a week of sluggish channel surfing from the couch, I’ve finally made it back to work. I’m only semi-functional but super restless… one can only take so many re-runs of CSI and Law & Order!

Anyhow, I’ve successfully ended my first run of sellables on eBay. I had so much fun I have another batch of jeans and purses sitting on my living room floor waiting for pictures. This is getting addicting! I’m thinking of doing another run mid-February, after I get back from my business trip.

Which brings me to my next update… I’m flying out east next week for a 4-day business trip. I will be spending 2 days in meetings with execs from my company and there will be cocktails, award dinners and presentations involved so I’m freaking out as I’m getting ready to pack. Not sure what to bring yet but I’m definitely making a stop to Zara and Banana Republic on Saturday in hopes of finding some good professional threads still on sale.

Here is what I know so far:
- It will be FREEZING.
- I’m going to spend most of Day 1 on the plane but I don’t want to dress too comfortably as I will be on the plane with VP’s and such.
- Day 2 will be a half-day of meetings ending in cocktails and dinner and I will not have time to change in-between.
- Day 3 will be full of presentations and ends in cocktails and dinner and, again, no time to change in-between.
- Day 4 starts will leaving the hotel at 5AM to hop on a plane, then going straight to work. Might be able to freshen up at the airport. (Sad)
- I want to pack everything in one small carry-on suitcase because I do not want to check in any bags. (Might be a problem with shoes)

Sounds like an impossible feat. Any outfit ideas?
