Like maybe you were inseparable in high school, but somewhere along the line she became one of those people who reads Suze Orman books at night while you became one of those thirtysomethings who has never actually been required to look “nice”? Or is it something subtler: your boyfriend, her trust fund, your baby, her Kabballah, your sudden drastic weight loss. The sinking lonely realization that maybe you just aren’t that into her. Well don’t get ahead of yourselves, girls! Friendship is the new marriage, and at Jezebel it’s to the death! You’re not really confrontational enough to end it anyway! Here’s a fun thing to do instead: send your stories to us for a new column called “Can This Friendship Be Saved?” It’s modeled after Ladies Home Journal’s 896-year-old traditional nuptials column, and here’s how it works.

You send us your rocky friendship story — and either get your friend to email us too, or provide us with her/his contact info. We’ll interview you two Can This Marriage Be Saved style and then have the e friendship experts at Girl Gone Child weigh in on how salvageable your bond might be. (If they‘re still friends, there’s probably hope for you, too!) Harper’s Bazaar’s Nefarious Scheme To Talk To Your Kids [Consumer Kiddie Porn]

First they get the Simpsons people to do an entire like 13-page spread featuring Versace gowns modeled on cartoons, then they got those little children to dress up like Donatella Versace and Olivier Theyskens…and now this month, well, we just have to show you. Where’s the con? How does any of this awesome, quirky irreverent shit appeal to the people who actually buy stuff? But we think we figured it out with the March issue, which boasts photo shoots featuring Lindsay Lohan and Frances Bean Cobain and sundry supermodels dressed up as Evita, Wonder Woman, Beauty & The Beast…and much much more.. It’s a desperate appeal to hook your kids! Those Harper’s demos aren’t getting any younger.

Runway Beauty: Marchesa

Marchesa’s fall collection was inspired by the iconography of the 16th century and the excesses of the Golden Age, drawing elements from Spanish style and the Elizabethan renaissance. To complement the look, makeup artist Talia Shobrook used Stila products to create a lush, rich face.

Eyes were neutral and slightly smokey, with dramatic brows and lashes - including some long falsh lashes at the outer corners. Cheeks and lips were given a natural flush with new Stila Cherry Crush Lip & Cheek Stain, creating a high contrast with the pale, creamy skin. Lips were finished with new SPF20 lipstick in Caicos - this is a new product that won’t be available for a few months, but if you want to recreate the look, Natalie (sheer plum) is a good substitute.
