I’m starting again, aren’t I? My boyfirend’s starting to get them piercing headaches. Hehe. Oh, but he’s learned not to tag along with me when I go shopping esp when hit the flea markets, where I’m most likely to buy something.
Spur of the moment suggestion, “let’s go to Ruins while Jayvee gets his Wii!” Phoebe agrees, therefore cornering Rico to just go along with the newfound plan. Aww. He stayed in the car and we did our shopping as quick as we could. We didn’t really have enough time anyway.

Working on your resolution? Something that might help you out is a nice long tee like this one I mentioned over at Burning the Scale. I’m totally in love with longer tops that go past my hips a ways because they are so much more comfortable. I am so sold. If you have any suggestions for great places to get tops like these, let me know!

Did the sample sale thing this weekend for the first time in a looong time!
So this morning a girlfriend and I drove up to Los Feliz for the Rebecca Minkoff Sample Sale. I held off on buying the Morning After bag during the after-Christmas sale because I heard they go for around $300 at the sample sales.
The sample sale was supposed to start at 12PM so we went for breakfast at The Alcove (1929 Hillhurst Ave, cross street Franklin Ave).

When I was home for Christmas I picked up Juice Beauty’s SPF 15 Tinted Lip Moisturizers at my favorite Sephora on Third Street Promenade. It’s a three piece set which ensures that there will be one in there that’s the perfect shade for you. I obviously consider myself a lip balm aficionado. I wonder if there’s certification for that? Like an advanced degree in lip balm with a minor in hand lotion. Anyway, being that I hold such high standards I have to say that this product did not measure up in the emollient department. It didn’t glide over my lips as much as I would have liked. That said, it was moisturizing; just not enough for me. I would probably layer it over something thicker like Lip Balm #1. I really like the shades that they come in because they are very subtle. So really I would consider this product an alternative to lip stick if you are not into lipstick so much, which I am not. My favorite of the three is the plum one. I like the way it highlights the natural pigment. I feel like it looks more natural. It works as a nice daytime look. Oh and don’t let me sway you with the moisture thing. I just can’t stand the idea of my lips rubbing against each other, I need a barrier. When I was in high school I used to wear chapstick on a necklace around my neck. I have issues.

I have been hearing so much buzz that last couple of weeks about this store, I finally decided to check out their website. They just opened their flagship store in Manhattan last year but they have been all over the United Kingdom since 1993. Just based on their online offerings I can’t wait until more brick and mortars pop up.
Susan Posnick’s Colorme looks too cool. It looks like a great on-the-run mineral makeup solution. I MUST have it. Space.NK’s own Relaxing Bath Oil is definitely on my list as well. Has anyone actually been there? Tell me about your experience please.
