To all my mineral makeup addicts and enthusiast readers out there…
HAVE A MERRY MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I hope you’re all enjoying your mineral-makeup filled Christmas, get some mineral makeup for your Christmas presents, and wear fabulous mineral makeup on dinner parties!
I know I shouldn’t be saying this on the day and all…. but does buying gifts that you REALLY like and having to give them away pee you off a wee bit? More specifically, your boyfriend buying this Paul & Joe plastic chain and pearl necklace with some taupe grosgrain ribbon, that is absolutely you to tee, for his sister as a Christmas present…? Ok…. just me then…
I stroked it for a bit before reluctantly wrapping it up in a nice perspex box….
Patrick Rzepski is a designer I don’t know a ton about, but I saw this cardigan at Standing Up Comedy and instantly liked it’s double breasted simple look. I usually dislike double breasted stuff, but this has a very pea coat air to it and the snaps are a good addition. (on sale, $133 from $190)
When you’ve had a rough week - attending one too many soirees, spending too much time running the shopping circuit, or doing overtime at work the boutique with yet another shopping spree - it’s all just left you frazzled and sapped of energy.
I just love the trend for fancy sleeves that’s going on right now. It reminds of the time of castles and princesses. The bubble sleeves on this white Xhilaration dress are so very cute:
These gorgeous party shoes are perfect for New Year’s Eve. The Giuseppe Zanotti E80067 Mirror Ramino features slick black patent, along with mirrored gold and copper leathers to create these wondeful peep-toe pumps.
These shoes feature a very unique design as you can see in the pictures of each side below.
Katherine Heigl got married! The Grey’s star wed singer Josh Kelley in a tent at the Stein Eriksen Lodge decorated with white flowers and white candles in snow-covered Park City, Utah. It was “incredible and beautiful,” says costar T.R. Knight. [People]
Amy Winehouse has been banned from open visits to her husband in jail after he failed a drug test. She can now only see Blake Fielder-Civil with a bullet-proof glass window between them. Tip for the prison guards: We’re pretty sure the stash is in her hive! [The Sun]
The Christmas bash Tyra Banks threw for her show employees was “a modest party at a Lower East Side Dive,” says a source. “Tyra arrived for a brief stop, looking like a million bucks, and said she was on her way to Italy.” She announced a “surprise,” which ended up being Santa, bearing McDonald’s cheeseburgers. “Unhappy workers ended up drinking themselves senseless and brawling in the street. One needed an ambulance.” [Page Six]
I’d been curious about the Be Fine products for a while now, but had yet to act because they seemed overpriced. When a $10 coupon good for any Be Fine product popped up on my CVS Extra Care Card Coupons, the offer became too good to pass up. I picked up the Be Fine Gentle Cleanser, and let’s just say if I’d paid full price ($15.99 for a mere 3.4 fl. oz.) I would have been sorely disapointed.
The packaging is a disaster—each pump only yields the tinest amount of product, so it takes a ridiculous amount of pumps before there’s enough cleanser dispensed to actually clean the face. The actual product itself is only mediocre. It barely lathers and doesn’t feel like it really did anything. Peppermint Oil and Peppermint leaf extract give a nice mintiness, but it could be kicked up a notch. Sugar cane extract is added to moisturize, but if anything, my face felt somewhat tight after cleansing.
