She’s best known as a former model and the wife of artist and film director Julian Schnabel. But Olatz Schnabel also studied design in her native Spain and for the past seven years has been creating custom linens for private clients’ homes. Designing linens has been her hobby for a long time.
She began designing them for her own homes and then custom sets for friends who wanted them. Now with this store it’s possible to offer them to a wider range of customer. Olatz designs all the simple, mostly solid, thick-bordered cotton and linen patterns herself, in bold colors like lime green as well as more subdued yellows, blues and reds. Most are made in Italy, and some feature appliqué work that’s done in Portugal. Julian Schnabel seems to be her number one fan. He adores these pajamas and wears them all the time to promote his wife’s products.
