Cowboy Chic: Tim McGraw getting his own celebrity fragrance?! [The Scented Life: All about fragrance]

I can’t say I saw this one coming, but in a way it makes sense. From the folks that brought you Stetson (the cologne): Tim McGraw in a bottle.  I guess if Shania Twain can do it…although - as glam as his wife (Faith Hill) is, I’d imagine there might be a collaboration/matching scent a la the recent Posh/Becks perfumes.  I am sure it will rely heavily on some men’s scent standby notes, like leather, vetiver, and perhaps even tobacco.

“Tim McGraw’s authentic and spirited personality make him the ideal
partner for a new fragrance,” said Bernd Beetz, CEO, Coty Inc. “Just as Tim
has delivered 30 number one hits and sold over 36 million albums to date,
we anticipate a blockbuster fragrance for both his fans and the beauty
industry. We are very excited about our latest celebrity collaboration and
look forward to a successful and sustained partnership.”
“Creating my own fragrance is an exciting new endeavor for me,”
commented McGraw. “Coty has a great creative and marketing team, one of the
best in the industry and I’m looking forward to working with them.”
The anticipated new men’s fragrance will be widely distributed in major
retailers across North America. Marketing plans for the modern country
star’s fragrance are currently in development.
“Tim McGraw embodies the true meaning of a man’s man and, to consumers,
he exemplifies attainable luxury. His bold masculinity, aspiring character
and fashion consciousness make for a winning formula for success,”
commented Steve Mormoris, SVP Global Marketing, Coty Beauty. “His
distinguished and approachable character positions him as a perfect partner
for a new men’s fragrance.”
