Whenever I’d be faced with a client worried about a mineral makeover, I usually hear, “are you sure you can do it? “, or “can this *pointing to the flaw* ” fixed? I hear those all the time, and I usually don’t bat an eyelash and tell them confidently, ” don’t worry, mineral makeup can do ANYTHING. It did wonders to my hopeless me, and I’m sure it would do wonders to you,” and start my work.
This is not my work, but this is a product of a mineral makeover courtesy of Coastalscents. This is one of the illustrations that proves my point that mineral makeup can do anything, and Coastalscents just made a point here!
The before pic, as you can see, bare faced freshness, but with some dark undereyes ( which is really normal for workaholics and studious people like us ), some redness, and freckles.

Very, very beautiful! Marissa, the model, was already beautiful to start with and mineral makeup just made her skin glow all the more, as well as accentuate her features.
Here’s what the makeup artist at Coastalscents did :
1. A small amount of Concealer A was applied below the eyes and on the left cheek.
2. Silk Cover Foundation in Fair was used all over face, a perfect match for her delicate tone.
3. Cheeky Blush was applied to the apple of her cheek and then very lightly applied on the forehead, nose and chin.
4. We first applied Squeeze Me Shadow wet all over the lower lid, next highlighted across the lid crease with Cozumel, below the brow bone was highlighted with Vintage.
5. Her Eyes were then lined with Velvet Shadow/Liner and Xtreme Lash Mascara was applied.
6. We used a Fire Red lip color and applied a clear glossi over it.
I loved in on how they evened out her complexion totally, as well as defined her cheeks using some glowy blush like Cheeky blush. The eye makeup was cute, too, along with the juicy looking Fire Red lip color.
