For today I figured that I’d pull together 5 of the nerdiest tees on Threadless. While I’m sure that there are some nerdier ones on Threadless these are the first ones that came to mind.

While I would never characterize myself as a girly girl, per say, I do enjoy getting prettified occasionally. The Holiday season gives me the perfect opportunity to be unabashedly feminine. Office parties just call for fancier attire and more makeup than I would usually wear. Somewhere between Vegas Showgirl and my typical bare-faced look. What I really need is lipstick that will still look good even after my third glass of champagne. Mascara that will make your eyes pop even after you can barely see straight. Note to self: Please, please don’t embarrass yourself this year. You are too old to get plastered and you will have to see these people on Monday.
Which brings me to my latest squeal-worthy find, Dr. Hauschka’s Rouge Powder. For that, “Oh I’m not wearing makeup, I am just naturally rosy-cheeked and so perky you want to punch me look”. Nothing dresses up a formal outfit like the perfect shade of red lipstick. Any other time of year and I wouldn’t be caught dead in *gag* lipstick. I’m all about the tinted lip balm. However there’s something about the ChristmaHanuKwanzica season that makes me want to be “that” girl. NVEY ECO Organic Lipstick really feels and looks like a high-end designer lipstick. It is certified organic by the Australian Organic Food Chain, so no need to worry about eating lead as well as too many mini quiche. So join me as I strap on those high heels, drape myself in velvet and just make an ass out of myself in general.

Bluefly and ELLE.com presents this unique and fabulous opportunity for you Project Runway aficionados. Who would pass up the chance to see NYC and the Season Finale of popular reality TV, Project Runway? Don’t forget the $5000 shopping money for Bluefly? It’s like fashion heaven.
Go try your luck! Let me know how you do. I’d love to take a shot at it had I been living in the US. Rotten luck, eh? Ah, well. Have fun, ladies!

Jay-Z scores his 10th No. 1 album on The Billboard 200, as “American Gangster” (Def Jam) debuts on top this week after selling 425,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The rapper thus ties Elvis Presley in second place for the most No. 1 albums on the chart; only the Beatles have had more, with 19.
Since 1998, all eight of Jay-Z’s solo studio albums have hit No. 1, in addition to his “Collision Course” project with Linkin Park and his “Unfinished Business” collaboration with R. Kelly.

When it comes to drugstore brands, Revlon is definitely at the top of the game (I’m writing off 3-D Extreme Mascara as fluke).
Their ColorStay Makeup with Soft-Flex can hang with the best of ‘em–from drugstore to designer foundations, this is a great foundation. I have the formula for Combination/Oily Skin (it also comes in a Normal/Dry Skin formula), and it really does control oil! True to its name, it does stay on all day looking freshly applied. Even with medium, buildable coverage, the texture doesn’t feel heavy or look like a mask. I’ve used this foundation on-and-off for a few years now, and it’s never made me break out or clogged my pores.

I really recommend that you check out these new holiday lingerie pieces over at one of my favorite lingerie sources, Plus Size Plum. It’s a little naughty, very luxurious, and just what we need when the temperatures start to drop.
I was also pretty excited to see that Deborah Friedman of Plus Size Plum also has a new blog to record her announcements and interesting plus size insights! I really recommend checking in from time to time to see what’s going on. Right now, I love this post about Self-Esteem for Plus-Size women.

>> Looks like Vogue and W had a little tiff, and now they longer share Style.com real estate. W took its money and ran, and is flying solo on Wmagazine.com, complete with new editor’s blog.

Sue Uemura Eyelash Curler is an old time favorite for many professional makeup artists and celebrities like Sally Pressman who plays Roxy LeBlanc in the popular Lifetime Entertainment TV series, Army Wives. The old classic Sue Uemura Eyelash Curler has been redesigned with an upgraded “mushroom” shape silicon pad for more comfort.
