Willy Rizzo exhibits furniture and photographs at Paul Smith, 9, Albemarle Street, London, W1 from 14th - 24th November 2007.
Rizzo, one of the most influential photographers of the 1960’s, shot to fame with his photographs of Hollywood icons such as Marylin Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Briggitte Bardot and Gene Kelly. With his unique charm and eye for beauty, Rizzo soon became a name amongst the fashion set – his portrait shots of Yves Saint-Laurent, Coco Chanel, Christian Dior and Pierre Cardin were unequalled and he soon became a regular photographer for such esteemed titles as Vogue, Harpers and Paris Match. This winter, in association with Mallett, Paul Smith is delighted to be exhibiting a rare collection of Rizzo’s photographs and furniture in his Mayfair shop.

In the formative stages of my life, when I was busy learning the alphabet and how to tie my shoes, I discovered lipstick. It soon became the gateway into my unwaivering love for all things cosmetic. To this day, there is still nothing like cracking open a fresh tube of lipstick, inhaling deeply and pressing that perfect, unadulterated bullet to my lips for the first sweep.
Benefit Silky Finish Lipstick in Sugar Cookie is the latest addition to my hundred-strong lipstick collection, and boy, is it a beauty. The golden-peachy shimmer shade shows up as a glowing nude. There’s a healthy dose of shimmer, which manages not to look juvenile, but it is ever so slightly grainy-feeling. Otherwise, the texture is light, sheer and slippery. Although sheer lipsticks don’t stay put as well as thicker formulas, there is something so casually sexy about sheer lipstick that makes it worth while. It somehow makes the mystique of that girl who just gives off a natural aura of sex appeal attainable–you know, the kind who isn’t trying to be sexy, but she just is.

Definitely not my first choice when I want to groom my brows or do some hair removal, but hey, these blades come in handy during emergencies and when you just don’t have enough time!
I have one of these at home and they just save me during my crucial moments - just because I can’t sit in front of the mirror and spending half an hour grooming my brows! Hehe

Tomorrow, November 15, I will begin my 5 Days Of Pink Beauty! I just received some fabulous products that have me tickled pink and I can’t wait to share them with you. For 5 days I will feature a different look for each day with the products I used and how I achieved the look. Just when I think I’ve fallen in love with one product there’s another one (or 2 or 3) making their way into my heart!
If you’re not familiar with Pink Beauty Cosmetics it is a Canadian brand created by Canadian makeup artist April Jacob. Pink Beauty is “modern day sophistication meets Old Hollywood glamour” (one of my favourite era’s!). This ultra-feminine, ultra playful brand is a perfect blend of classic sophistication and glam girl-on-the-go. The packaging is of course pink and is beautifully done. The colours and textures fantastic and names like “Elsie” (lipstick named after the creator’s grandmother…aww), Mabel, and Sweet Pea (50% of it’s proceeds went to Breast Cancer Awareness back in October) are reminiscent of Old Hollywood times.

This week is all about scarves, I guess, this would be my 2nd post on Basile Scarves. The classic cashmere, and the fringes, which are the norm for Basile like the previous. However, this is reversible, something chic then?
Get them from here.

![Bonnie Fuller Thinks She’s A Better Mom Than Angelina Jolie [Still Evil]](http://citypeoplefashion.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/65571.jpg)
Star editorial-something Bonnie Fuller came out of crappy circulation-induced hiding today to blog a few words of gratitude to Britney Spears and Angelina Jolie, and not for providing the fodder that seven-figure salary packages and wardrobe allowances are made of! See, watching Britney and Angelina makes her feel like such a good mom! “Every time that our girl Brit cluelessly tries to whitestrip her toddler’s teeth instead of brushing them or runs a red light with the court-appointed monitor and her two sons all strapped in her car,” Bonnie writes, “[she] “lessens the burden of guilt for working mothers.” As for Angie? “Oh, so maybe we didn’t whip up homemade Halloween costumes, but at least we haven’t schlepped our kids to three different pre-schools around the globe in the past year.” Also: “my husband who actually raises my kids tells me he gets a similar sensation every time he stands in a line flipping through celebrity tabloids and he sees a lady hitting her kid. It makes him feel so much less guilty for buying sugar cereal! And if the lady is black he feels less guilty about slavery too.”
Okay so I made up that last part. But you sorta get the gist!

I know that the main focus of a lookbook of a fashion collection is the clothes, but upon looking at Paul & Joe’s latest lookbook, I could not help but stare in fixated horror at the model’s feet. Maybe I am just not fashion forward enough, but upon seeing these boots (almost everywhere in the lookbook) all I can think of is ugh!

Maybe in a few months (or even weeks) time, I will find them cute and want a pair. Who knows how fashion evolution works? I mean, without the slouchy thing, the shape of the pointy toe is perfectly rounded and the heels look just right. But right now ,at this moment, the slouchy thing (which I assume is the CENTER of the design) just makes models look like they have swollen ankles to me- and that is never attractive.

I tried looking at them from different angles, but still- nothing. Maybe it is also the awkward height of the boots as well, making them not quite ankle boots but not quite tall boots either. Only a model with super long legs like that can carry it off (I should know since I stupidly bought a pair of such awkward height boots last season and I am still trying to figure out how to wear them….) without looking short with their legs sectioned off like that.

So what is the verdict for these $825 Peper Suede Paper Bag booties? Fashion forward? Or should it be stuffed into a paper bag?
