First up, from Hype, is a cute black patent wristlet.
No doubt this was inspired by Marc Jacobs’ signature look, but with it’s own twist. Proportionate details, with a perfect balance of hardware for a smaller bag makes this a real stand out. The gently rounded shape adds a softness to the harshness of the patent, and it seals with a zip. Best of all, the Hype Tessa is only $75.
Number 2, is from a bigger name as far as designers go.
In a shiny candy apple red cracked patent, the Stuart Weitzman Cala Clutch is a knock out. A great bag for anyone a bit afraid of color this bag, because of the small size, is a perfect way to get your feet wet. Try it on with chocolate brown or grey instead of your basic black.
The pleated body makes this bag a bit more feminine and it secures with a magnetic strap. This style is just $177…it really looks like so much more!
From indie darling Alexis Hudson this is a bit of a more casual envelope.
The shape is unique and designed to fit comfortably in your hand, but still give a drop more room (and in a clutch, every bit counts!) on the sides. In a super supple tan (called Brown Sugar) which has an almost worn in look. The bag looks like it closes with a complicated knotting of the tasseled cord, but that’s an illusion. It really shuts with a magnetic snap under the flap…where you’ll also find a fabulous bonus touch, an inset mirror. The Alexis Hudson Sky Clutch is a mere $150…and going fast!
If leather, patent or otherwise isn’t what you had in mind, try on some texture.
This bag does have leather trim, but the body is made of a soft alluring velvet. By all rights, it should be busy, with 2 kinds of quilting, grommets, lacing…oh my! But, it works. The Trina Turk Quilted Soho clutch can easily go 24 hours. pair it with jeans and a sweater for a casual look, or a flirty dress in the evening and you’re good to go. This bag comes in at $132, fantastic for a bag that doesn’t look like much else out there.
