One of the things I always appreciated about Hogan was that it was a sporty company that relied on design more than flashy over sized logos and monograms. The carrier of a Hogan knew what she had and how much it cost, and didn’t need to advertise it to the world.
But, alas, most companies eventually succumb to the pressure of being able to turn the customer into a walking billboard, and buckle, Hogan has.
A sporty style rolled duffel, with authentic gym accents like a canvas shoulder strap, reduced to handbag size and glammed up in a very bright gold, this bag is flash on a handle. I’m impressed that someone showed restraint and didn’t cover the logo with crystals, just in case the bag was too subtle.
When all is said and done, it does bring a Hogan to mind…Hulk. Hopefully, he picked up a few for his wife, and daughter, Brooke. Not everyday you can walk into Bergdorfs and pick a personalized bag off the rack. even if you have to shell out $1,050 for it.
The Sacca Piccola (does that mean “washed up wrestler” in Italian?) from the Italian Hogan is available at Bergdorf Goodman.
